1. Product Introduction of Medica CPAP Nasal Cannula
Greatcare Medica CPAP Nasal Cannula allows ETCO2 sampling and simultaneous oxygen delivery. These cannulas are compatible with a variety of lateral flow capnography monitors and are most commonly used in non-intubated patients in mild to severe sedation.
In the past, a problem with measuring ETCO2 in non-intubated patients has been interference from fresh oxygen sources. In many procedures, oxygen delivery can dilute or distort end-tidal readings. With the split sampling sleeve design, the ETCO2 gas can be measured undiluted, while the oxygen can still be delivered normally.

4. Direction for use of Medica CPAP Nasal Cannula
● Assemble EtCO2 sampling nasal cannula, O2 source, patient monitor.
● Connect the EtCO2 sampling nasal cannula to the O2 source and set to the desired flow rate.
● Place the EtCO2 sampling nasal cannula on the patient
● Connect the sampling line to the patient monitor CO2 intake and activate sampling mode by pressing the monitor's CO2 quick access key.
● Note the readings and waveform(s).
● Record procedures, values and attach files to patient care reports.
● Monitor the patient's O2 saturation, breath sounds, chest wall motion, respiratory rate, and capnography.
